Robert Pattinson usually comes in at the top of most Hollywood polls and lists. When it comes to the Forbes list of the most powerful vampires in Hollywood, Pattinson comes in 5th.

The Twilight star received a place on the list for his wildly popular character, the century-old, devilishly handsome yet brooding vampire, Edward Cullen.

Pattinson had some tough competition on the Forbes list, especially from True Blood’s Stephen Moyer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s David Boreanaz, and Blade’s Wesley Snipes, all of which came in ahead of Pattinson in the poll.

As the vampire phenomenon continues to grow, lists like the one at Forbes.com are sure to change a bit. Perhaps by the time the fourth and final installment of the Twilight Saga comes out, Pattinson can climb his way into number one!

We don’t know if it’s true. Considering the amounth of fabricated interviews and news the press has for us, we shall doubt of everything. But it wouldn’t be the first time she would say that. I don’t like to post rumours… but when it comes from their mouths it shouldn’t be a rumour, right?

KRISTEN Stewart “understands” why people think she is dating Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, and admits the couple lean on each other for support.

The actress has been continuously romantically linked to one of Hollywood’’s most eligible men.

Kristen admits they are “close”, but claims they are just friends.

“Robert and I are great friends but I understand why you would assume that, when we lean on each other for support, there must be something more,” she told Monsters & Critics.

“And I’m not criticising anyone for thinking it either. If anything, they’re really perceptive because they can see a closeness.”

August 29, 2009, (Sawf News) – Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene and Peter Facinelli were seen out for dinner in Vancouver. The trio, with other cast mates, went to Bodega in the city’s Gastown neighborhood on Friday, August 28.

Pattinson was seen in a black Nike hoodie, blue polo shirt and dark blue jeans. The stars are currently in the city filming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In the film, Ashley Greene plays Alice Cullen and Peter Facinelli Dr. Carlisle.

Film producers are taking help from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to ensure filming is not disrupted by Pattinson’s female fans who tend to lose self-control in the heady presence of the 23-year-old British star.

“It was an unusual mission but our remit was to keep the fans off the set. Everything went well on the first day but a group of girls got a little too close when the filming moved to the Long Beach area of the island,” constable Baillant on duty told Radaronline.

Pattinson was a hit by a taxi in New York while he was trying to escape some over zealous female fans.

Pattinson is strongly linked to his 19-year-old Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. A source told OK magazine, “They are definitely a couple and they are very much in love. Neither of them is rushing into anything, they are just having a good time hanging out, but they plan to explore their relationship even more while they are filming.”

Robert Pattinson has captured the hearts of an untold number of fans with his portrayal of Edward Cullen in “Twilight.”

Rob’s brooding good looks and the film, about eternal love and teen angst, are strikingly similar to two monumental teen idols from previous generations – James Dean and Marlon Brando – who starred in similar movies.

Every other generation or so, an actor comes along who captures the imagination of their contemporaries. Brando and Dean were those actors in the 1950s.

Rob is having the same breakout success in “Twilight.” Ironically, both Brando and Dean became international sensations in coming-of-age movies about teenage angst in tumultuous times.

What makes them so alike and what makes them different?

Dean, a relative unknown, vaulted to fame in “East of Eden,” a film based on a novel by Nobel Laureate John Steinbeck. He played the troubled son of a farmer in a story loosely based on the Biblical tale of Cain and Abel.

His performance in the film foreshadowed his role as Jim Stark in “Rebel Without A Cause,” which has parallels to “Twilight.” Both Dean’s and Pattinson’s characters are angst-ridden, misunderstood outcasts, trying to find themselves, if for different reasons.

In “Rebel Without a Cause,” a 1955 film, Dean’s 17-year-old character is a new to the town. He’s moody and alienated, and different from than the others in his high school much like Edward Cullen.

In “Twilight,” however, Bell Swan (Kristen Stewart) is new to the school. But they share the same feelings of being outsiders, being different.

Dean’s character meets Judy, played by Natalie Wood,, a budding actress at that time, who would go on to international fame. She was Dean’s Kristen.

The film was an attempt to portray the moral decay of American youth with a focus on parents who failed to assert moral discipline. But it was also about the pressure to conform and about being different – two themes that also appear in “Twilight.”

It was one heck of a week for Robert Pattinson.The star has been keeping a fairly low profile while in Vancouver on the set of his latest film, the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. That hasn’t stopped the gossip, however.

On Wednesday morning, stories began to surface, claiming that the 23-year-old celeb had died of a heroin overdose while in Canada. Within hours various sources were able to confirm that the actor was alive and well in Vancouver.

While Pattinson never formally commented on the matter, it’s safe to assume that he hasn’t been and won’t be using heroin anytime in the near future.

It was also announced this week that various Twilight stars will be included in the conventions taking place across the country over the next few years. Summit Entertainment announced that various Twilight stars including Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will be appearing at random throughout the course of the Twilight convention tour.

The first official Twilight convention is scheduled to be held in Parsippany, New Jersey at the Hilton Hotel. The convention will take place next weekend, August 28-30.
